The 80K Hours job board has a List of Part-time Courses on Top Problems featuring the MIT MicroMasters Program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy. This program has also been spruiked once or twice on the 80K Hours podcast.
I was wondering if anyone had taken it (or the MicroMasters Program in
Statistics and Data Science), and could share how they found it.
I'd be interested to know especially how easy it was to apply to MIT for the full Master's following the program, and if you think it was a valuable use of your time.
I have an Australian Bachelor's in Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours), work in the Australian Government and think a Master's might be useful for working in intergovernmental organisations such as the World Bank, UN, OECD, and IMF.
If you haven't taken this program, but have general advice, feel free to share.

I have a review of two courses within it here. I really liked it. Given your economics major, though, my sense is that you might find some of the initial courses too basic. That said, they should be free online, so you might as well listen to the first/a random lecture to see if you are getting something out of it.

Not strictly related to your question, but you may be interested in checking Marginal Revolution University's courses and series.
This is an understatement. At the time, I thought they were the best teachers I'd ever had, the course majorly influenced my perspective in life, they've provided useful background knowledge, etc.
