I recently went through the exercise on my blog of thinking through ways my mind has changed this year and wanted to start a thread for people to share significant updates they’ve made in the past year. A lot of EA organizations do this, but there's less of a space for individuals to publicly state mistakes and updates, which I think could be healthy. Please comment below with yours!

I changed my mind about the probability, importance and neglectedness of threats to humanity. I used to think that chance of humanity's extinction is very small, and that anything that could be done to reduce risks in a particular country was probably already being done by the government. I've changed my mind, and now I think it's a good idea for altruistic people to work on reducing x-risks/s-risks.
